The initial param values

RsParamLogCache is good stuff and our end users need this functionality.

But I found out that the first time a report is rendered I had first to provide (in BIDS) default values manually edited and not from the DS... parameter dataset,

after this I had to chage the report to using DS params, then it did the job.

But (2), I have seen this is true for every new user needed this report. It was not possible to set default params for each user, so I changed this *  and it's working now excelent.

Or I have missed somting or this can help others to fix this problem using MDX quering with RsParamLogCache.

* :  Altering the procedure "SpGetDefaultParameterForUser"

just before the line:   "Get the latest execution of the report for the particular user"  I set this code:

--Check if the user allready have default parameters, if not return NULL
SELECT TOP(1) @LatestExecutionId = ExecutionId
FROM        dbo.DefaultReportParameterExecution Pe
WHERE        Pe.UserId = @UserId
ORDER BY    ExecutionTime DESC

IF (@LatestExecutionId IS NULL)
    SELECT NULL AS ParameterValue
-- end Check

thanks and good to hear that you like it. Is that only for MDX ?

Thanks to be.

For so far I consume only CUBE data, so only MDX, I have not tried T-SQL yet.
